Join us for a magical yoga retreat in Sardinia at the beginning of May, when the island is lush, green and in full bloom, just before the busy summer season begins. It is the perfect setting for a retreat where inspiring experiences meet relaxation, renewal and energy together with our yoga teacher, Nathalie Wahlberg.
Yoga is often described as a practice in which every step offers an opportunity to get to know ourselves, each other and the world around us. Throughout the week, we allow every experience to become part of the practice – movement, hiking, conversations, silence and community. Together, we explore yoga not only on the mat, but also in nature and in everyday life.
The daily yoga classes are based on the Jivamukti Yoga method, suitable for all levels. Physical practice, breathwork, music, chanting and yogic philosophy are woven together in creative and dynamic sequences. The practice offers space to explore both energy and stillness, strength and flexibility.
On two of the days, we will hike with a local guide and discover more of this beautiful island. In between activities, there is plenty of time to relax, reflect and connect with fellow participants by the pool, over lunch or at the nearby beach, Torre di Barì, just a short walk from the hotel.
Join us for a week filled with everything we long for most in May, when the desire for sunshine, warmth and the Mediterranean is at its strongest – meaningful connections, inspiring experiences, personal growth, memorable encounters and time to rest in a beautiful and nurturing environment.
We stay at Felix Galanias Hotel & Retreat, a peaceful oasis surrounded by greenery, beach and sea, located in Bari Sardo in the Ogliastra region, an area often associated with Sardinia's famous Blue Zone. We enjoy breakfast and four-course dinners together at the hotel, where traditional Italian Mediterranean cuisine is served.
Nathalie is a highly experienced yoga teacher from Sweden who teaches internationally around the world. We also invite you to listen to our podcast, Hälsoresan (The Health Journey), where Nathalie is featured as a guest in one of the episodes.
The retreat is open to all levels, whether you are a beginner or an experienced yoga practitioner. All yoga classes are taught in English.

Before the Retreat
What level of experience is required for this retreat?
The yoga classes are suitable for all levels and will be adapted to the group. Whether you are looking for a fresh start or wish to deepen your existing practice, you will gain a great deal from this retreat.
For the hikes, a reasonable level of fitness, balance and stability is recommended.
Can I travel on my own?
Absolutely. Many participants join our retreats on their own. Traveling solo is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with yourself while meeting like-minded people who share your interests.
I would like to travel with a friend, but we have different levels of experience. Can we still join together?
Of course! It does not matter if you have different levels of yoga experience. The classes are designed to accommodate everyone and offer options for all abilities.
What should I bring?
Please bring comfortable clothing for both dynamic and restorative yoga practices, as well as suitable hiking attire.
For the hikes, you are required to bring well-worn hiking boots with ankle support. We also recommend wearing double wool socks to help prevent blisters. Comfortable hiking trousers or shorts, layered clothing for varying temperatures, and hiking poles are also recommended.
Please bring a windproof and waterproof jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, as weather conditions can change throughout the day. A daypack, reusable water bottle, some cash and a small snack are also useful, especially if we stop for a coffee along the way.
You should also bring comfortable walking shoes for shorter walks and excursions.
As the hotel has a swimming pool and is located close to the sea, don’t forget your swimwear and sun protection, as well as comfortable clothing for the evenings. We also recommend bringing flip-flops, a notebook and pen, and any personal toiletries you may need, as there is no shop located directly next to the hotel.

Felix Hotels Galanias & Resort
Galanias Hotel & Retreat ligger inbäddat i en grönskande oas i det natursköna Ogliastra på Sardinien – en av världens blå zoner, känd för sin unika livsstil och sina många invånare som lever långa, friska och aktiva liv långt upp i åldern. Cirka 10 minuter promenad bort ligger stranden Torre di Barì som erbjuder ett oöverträffat lugn och magisk utsikt. Hotellet är beläget i ett mycket lugnt område utan några butiker men med små mysiga restauranger längs med stranden. Rummen är klassisk italienska och bekväma med en fräsch inredning i olika utformningar.
Hotellet, som ligger en liten bit från Bari Sardo centrum, består av två områden: huvudkomplexet med rum utan balkong (Superior room) och det nyligen tillkomna trädgårdsområdet (Pool room med balkong) med en helt ny pool. På hotellet finns möjlighet att boka massage och andra behandlingar i Wellness avdelningen. Galanias Restaurant som ligger i den centrala delen av hotellet bjuder på klassisk Medelhavskost, traditionellt italiensk och sardisk mat gjorda på lokalt framställda råvaror.

During this retreat, we combine dynamic morning classes and gentler afternoon practices with meditation, relaxation and inspiring workshops.
There will be plenty of time for reflection, and the retreat follows a clear theme throughout the week, allowing you to gain meaningful experiences and practical tools to continue your yoga practice long after returning home.
In the evenings, we gather for shared dinners at the hotel, where the traditional Mediterranean diet and lifestyle take centre stage.
The hotel is located in a peaceful setting surrounded by greenery and just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, where you will find small seaside restaurants serving lunch. The nearest grocery store is approximately 4 km away and can be reached on foot or by taxi.

Nathalie Wahlberg ENGLISH
Jivamukti Yoga Teacher
Nathalie is an Advanced Certified teacher in the Jivamukti Yoga method and teaches internationally at yoga studios, retreats and workshops. She is based between Barcelona and Stockholm and is part of the teaching team at Jivamukti Yoga Barcelona. With a background in the performing arts as a dancer and performer, movement, rhythm and expression have long been central to her life. In early 2016 she discovered Jivamukti Yoga and experienced how the method brings together movement and music with discipline, philosophy and a continuous aspiration to evolve beyond the perceived limitations of body and mind.
She deeply appreciates the method’s holistic framework, where physical practice, yoga philosophy, meditation, music and devotion are woven together into a living and transformative practice. For Nathalie, yoga is a path that supports both personal development and a deeper awareness of our relationship with ourselves, others and the world around us.
Her classes and workshops combine creative yet structured flows with clear guidance, embodied presence and integrated elements of mantra and chanting. Her teaching is characterized by curiosity, focus and an invitation to explore what it means to be fully present in practice.
During the retreat Nathalie shares her passion for Jivamukti Yoga through dynamic classes, workshops and moments of chanting and reflection - an invitation to explore the path of yoga together.
